Maintenance Coordinator for the Maya Train project

April 2025 – Present

My role involves coordinating and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities for industrial equipment and facilities at the Tren Maya maintenance workshop in Cancún, with the aim of optimizing production results regarding quality and safety.

I manage, coordinate, supervise, and control all maintenance activities and resources to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. My responsibilities include overseeing equipment and facility maintenance, keeping documentation up to date, reporting any anomalies found, and proposing potential solutions to these issues.

Key Achievements: Launched maintenance operations at the Cancún workshop, developed strategies to organize the operation, and ensured the team was fully operational within the first 45 days. Identified and implemented measures to prevent an operational issue that was responsible for 40% of train maintenance delays.

ON-SITE PROJECT MANAGER AT AMARANZERO

September 2022 – January 2025

During my stay I have led various projects throughout the Mexican Republic, I have negotiated with suppliers and clients, maintaining the project progress schedule until delivery, evaluating KPIs and assigning critical tasks, developed various methodologies to guide multiple projects, due to my diverse experiences I have supported the commercial area to establish project prices, but I consider that my greatest achievement so far has been the creation of the guide for construction managers, the creation of metrics boards for the evaluation of project progress, staff performance metrics and the creation of a payment strategy to reduce amortization to suppliers, extending the line of credit and reducing monthly fixed costs, making use of techniques such as demand elasticity analysis, market studies among others.

PROJECT MANAGER ON SITE AT COMINDE

November 2021 – August 2022

During my time at Cominde, I took on the role of project manager and was able to complete the project in the shortest possible time since it was delayed due to Covid issues. With the extension in time, the scope and cost had to be adjusted. However, I consider that my greatest achievement has been achieving a time efficiency of 30%, in just 3 months, while maintaining the initial budget of 58 million (MXN). This was possible by designing a solid performance strategy for the various areas, segmenting the original project into 3 parts or phases that need to be completed before starting the next one. This allows the effort of the staff (120 people) to focus on the successful resolution of the project. It also allowed me to design improvements to the project that reduced the initial cost of the project by 5%.
